Divot was born in 1966 in Yerevan. He graduated from the Yerevan State University in 1993 and has a specialist degree in mathematics.

Divot registered on 25 February 2008 and has made more than 18,000 edits since then.[2] Active combatant of Armenian-Azerbaijanian conflict in Russian Wikipedia in which he fights for Armenian point of view. Repeatedly blocked for edit wars. He has a low percent of edits in the main space (only 25,15 %[2])
